Placement of goods and vehicles transported through Turkmenistan’s customs under the transit procedure is carried out via the “ASYCUDA World” information system.

To obtain a transit customs permit, the carrier or forwarder submits the following documents to the customs authority:

• Transport documents (SMR, air waybill, railway waybill, cargo document, etc.)

• Commercial documents (invoice, proforma invoice)

• Packaging/shipping documents

• Certificate of origin of goods (ST-1, ST-2, certificates of type “A”) or a declaration confirming the origin of goods

• If necessary, permits, licenses, certificates, and/or other documents confirming compliance with restrictions on the export of goods across Turkmenistan’s customs border, as established by national legislation
